2014 Lake County

Notes

Our Lake & Vine 2014 Red Hills Cabernet Sauvignon is selected from the Red Hills of Lake County, a gold mine for growing exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2014 vintage is comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon (86%), Merlot (8%), Syrah (3%) and Petit Verdot (3%). This wine exudes a deep purple color in the glass with stunning aromas of concentrated plums, dark cherries and blackberries with subtle hints of spice and currant. Only about 3% of wines are grown above 1,100 feet elevation, Lake & Vine Cabernet Sauvignon is one of them. The grapes are grown 2,200 feet elevation on a vineyard in the lower slopes of an extinct volcano, which unveils soils rich in obsidian and quartz. Some say this reflection helps to mature and ripen the grapes. Lake & Vine Cabernet Sauvignon complements and celebration.
